We currently offer Active Start on a Tuesday morning and Soccer Stars on a Friday morning.  We are also hiring the Burnside Hall on a weekly basis to provide drama and music.  We will also be having “forest time” sessions run by Hailey who is currently doing her Forest Leader training.

We are excited to announce a new activity for our 3-5s.  They will shortly be embarking upon a block of Rugbytots sessions every Wednesday run by James Craig.  We will inform parents when this is due to start.

Science at Dollar Academy will be offered during the Summer Term.

We are in the process of trying to source a new foreign language tutor and music specialist to provide weekly sessions.  We will update you when we have these in place.

Other information

I am currently awaiting confirmation from the council with regard to my nursery teacher for this academic year.  I will inform parents when I have further information. We also have Kirsty who is covering staff holidays during the next six weeks.   I appreciate there have been many changes across the nursery in the last few months.  This has been an unusual time of change.

Change can be unsettling, however, in education it is necessary to adapt and relish the opportunities that come about by change, and all the staff would agree that we are developing all aspects of the nursery in a positive way.  We are excited with the developments across the nursery particularly with the gained expertise from new staff.

Communicating with Parents

  1. Parents Forum

As we have many new parents I would like to ask if you are interested in joining our parents forum.  Could you please speak to Hayleigh in the 2s.

  1. Monthly Question

Hailey is asking parents a monthly question – displayed near the downstairs cloakroom.  We value any input from parents, so please take part in the process.
